28/02/2019 at 9:09 am #14341Hello Alejandro It sounds like this is a single ended connection on the Garmin device. This is fine as you can try some connections using this image in the link below.

Please try these and see how you get on. If you are still having difficulty then you may need the protocol bridge. However I think you will be fine using the link above.
What is the make and model of your Garmin plotter?
Please let us know how you get and the make and model and we can go from there.
Best regards

01/03/2019 at 2:03 pm #14343Hello Alejandro This particular Garmin device is single ended connection. We sell the QK-AS03 protocol bridge that will Bi-directionally convert Single ended NMEA (Garmin 128) to differential NMEA (QK-A032). I have provided a link below to the unit we are discussing the QK-AS03 for you to have a look at.
https://www.quark-elec.com/product/qk-as03-nmea-protocol-bridge/ ” class=”bbcode_url”> https://www.quark-elec.com/product/qk-as03-nmea-protocol-bridge/ With this device you can connect the Tx and Rx of our protocol bridge to the NMEA IN and NMEA OUT of your Garmin 128. the other side you connect NMEA IN+ and – and then connect the NMEA OUT + and – to our QK-A032. This will give you all your GARMIN data shared onto your NMEA 2000 network.
We offer two options for the converters. the QK-A032-S and the QK-A032-AIS. the S model will cover the majority of NMEA sentences and the AIS model will include AIS messages and the majority of NMEA messages that the s model includes. I hope this makes sense, I have provided a link below for you to see and view yourself.
https://www.quark-elec.com/product-category/marine/nmea-2000-converter/ ” class=”bbcode_url”> https://www.quark-elec.com/product-category/marine/nmea-2000-converter/ I hope this helps you understand a bit more. I would advise the AIS model because it will also convert AIS messages that can be read by your chart plotter. using the Protocol bridge to connect them together will work wonderfully. please let us know what you think and we can go from there.
Best regards
