Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to the use of the Quark-elec website (www.quark-elec.com) and ordering from Quark-elec (UK).
Please read through these terms and conditions. Through accessing the Quark-elec website and for placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions as set out below.
How to Order
All orders must be placed online through the website using the basket facility provided, or through invoice. Do not e-mail your card details to us directly. We cannot take responsibility for the security of your card details if given over email.
All products on this website are priced in Pounds sterling, US Dollars and Euros. For all sales delivered to UK addresses (or to EU address where the customer has no VAT number), prices include VAT at 20%. Postage is extra and dependent on the destination country of the order. The details of these costs can be found by entering the delivery address in the checkout page.
Once the order is accepted the price and all elements of the contract are binding. The order is accepted once the order has been received by the customer.
Quark-elec(UK) reserve the right to cancel an order or part of an order until the item has been delivered.
Method of Payment
Once you have entered your shipping information you will be prompted to pay by any of the following methods:
1. Credit card/debit card
In most cases, you are given a choice of shipping methods at checkout.
· Royal Mail (First Class for UK orders or Airmail for orders outside the UK) or
· DHL Express
Orders are normally dispatched within 2 working days following receipt of your order. The maximum period for delivery is 30 days unless specifically agreed with you separately.
If your delivery address is outside of the UK, please note, shipping fees are exclusive of any import or customs fees or import VAT.
If your order hasn’t arrived within 30 days of receipt of the order, please contact Customer Services by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting your order number and we will be happy to help.
It is our aim to maintain stock of all items shown on the website. In the unlikely event that any item you have chosen is unavailable you will be contacted via e-mail and given the choice to cancel your order, wait for the item to be available or select an alternative product.
Returns within 14 days
In addition to statutory consumer rights, any unused item purchased on this website can be returned within 14 days, however, the buyer pays the return postage.
If any item is returned in used condition, it may be sent back to the customer without credit. Should packing material be damaged or internal accessories be missing, a restocking fee of up to 20% may be applied.
Quark-elec warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and manufacture for two years from the date of purchase. Quark-elec will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacement will be made at no charge to the customer for parts and labour. The customer is, however, responsible for any transportation costs incurred in returning the unit to Quark-elec. This warranty does not cover failures due to abuse, misuse, accident or unauthorized alteration or repairs. A returns number must be given before any unit is sent back for repair.
The above does not affect the statutory rights of the consumer.

It is the user’s responsibility to use products prudently. Neither Quark-elec, nor their distributors or dealers accept responsibility or liability either to the product user or their estate for any accident, loss, injury or damage whatsoever arising out of the use or of liability to use Quark-elec products. Marine products are designed to aid navigation and should be used to augment normal navigational procedures and practices.
Compliments and Complaints
Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If for any reason you are not happy with the product or service you have received, please email Customer Services at email@example.com in the first instance. We aim to deal with all complaints as effectively as possible.
We will aim to acknowledge any complaint within 5 working days, and to conclude our investigations as soon as possible thereafter. Telephone complaints will not necessarily be acknowledged by email prior to investigation. Our acknowledgment will always include the name of the person who is handling your case. A likely timescale for resolution will be provided upon request, this timescale will be dependent upon the specific nature of the complaint.
