The QK-A021 is a single channel AIS receive-only unit, which allows you to receive AIS messages direct to your laptop or other devices via USB.
Entry level, pocket sized and pocket friendly.

  • Easy to use, entry level, AIS receiver USB dongle
  • Up to 12 nautical miles receiving range
  • Simple to set up, just plug in and use
  • Single channel, but patented Hopping technology improves captured message rate
  • NMEA 0183 output via USB (compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, Linux systems)
  • SMA connector for 50 Ohm VHF antenna (SMA to BNC coaxial adaptor included)

  • Auto-hopping channel algorithm improves captured message rate by 4%
  • Manually adjustable hopping interval rates (0.25 sec, 1 sec, 30 sec and auto-hopping)

  • Up to 12 nautical miles receiving range
  • USB 2.0 powered (<26mA @5.0V)
  • Serial output: 38400 bps baud rate over USB

[1] Manually adjustable hopping interval rates (0.25 seconds, 1 second, 30 seconds and auto-hopping) Channel hopping will increase the number of messages received, in comparison with single channel receivers. However, part of some multi-AIS messages may be lost, due to the hopping nature of the product. If both the quantity and the completeness of AIS messages is important to you, we recommend the dual channel receivers.
