Marine Electronics

Sail safer, view your Marine data on your chartplotter or wireless device. AIS Receivers, Transponders, AIS, GPS and NMEA multiplexers, Seatalk¹ and N2K Converters.

Multiplexing Instruments

NMEA 0183 multiplexers, also called combiners, combine collected NMEA 0183 data from multiple talker devices and outputs the data to an NMEA 0183 listener device via a single connection.

Aside from this convenient function, the majority of our devices can perform more sophisticated data handling such as:

  • Sentence filtering
  • Routing
  • Buffering
  • WiFi broadcasting
  • SeaTalk¹ to NMEA conversions

Our NMEA 0183 multiplexers are ideal for small boats and light commercial vessels.

NMEA 0183 multiplexers

QK-A031 NMEA 0183 Multiplexer with SeaTalk¹ Converter

‘Happy to see my merged NMEA and SeaTalk¹ equipment data on my phone’

Flexible and powerful enough to be the heart of a simple system on a small boat.  The A031 combines (up to 3) NMEA inputs with a Seatalk¹ bus, making this an effective way to view all your marine data anywhere on your boat via your mobile phone, tablet, and laptop (with the added option to connect to a NMEA chart plotter).

QK-A033 Bi-directional NMEA 0183 Multiplexer with SeaTalk Converter

‘The perfect 2-way WiFi solution to connect to my autopilot and sensors. With sophisticated filtering and routing, this is a multiplexer that grows with me’

The A033 allows up to 3 NMEA 0183 sources and a SeaTalk¹ input to be multiplexed. Two flexible galvanically isolated outputs allow two different data streams to be created. Through advanced filtering and routing, the A033 NMEA enables controlled routing of data to specific outputs, blocking excess data and reducing overflow.

Bi-directional USB/WiFi allows connection between navigation devices and autopilot in both directions.

QK-A035 NMEA 0183 4×4 multiplexer with SeaTalk¹ converter + integrated voyage data recorder

‘Providing a highly customizable network to work as an NMEA 0183 hub on my boat. Automatic data recording that can be uploaded to Quark-Cloud to offer online tracking, data backup, sharing and export’

The A035 is the most flexible multiplexer released by us, supporting not just 4 NMEA inputs, but a SeaTalk¹ input as well.

  • Multiplexes up to 4 NMEA 0183 inputs and SeaTalk¹ devices
  • 4 independent NMEA 0183 outputs, each capable of driving the combined data from the inputs
  • Advanced filtering and routing functions for input NMEA sentences
  • Integrated VDR

QK-A027-plus NMEA 2000 AIS Receiver with NMEA Multiplexer + N2K Converter + Ethernet+WiFi + GPS

‘Quark-elec’s first AIS receiver supporting Ethernet output’

The A027+ is a commercial level AIS/GPS receiver with multiple routing functions. Data generated from the built-in AIS and GPS receivers, the NMEA 0183, and Seatalk1 inputs is combined by the multiplexer and can be forwarded to WiFi, Ethernet (RJ45 port), USB, NMEA0183 and N2K outputs.

Whether you are using a tablet, a mobile phone or an onboard computer, you can easily connect the device to your on-board navigation system. The A027+ can also be used as an AIS shore station which can receive and transfer AIS data to a remote server via the internet by government bodies.

It has a greater AIS range of 45nm, similar to the commercial grade A026+, however, as it is a one-way interface, the A027+ is perfect for those wanting the extra AIS range, but do not need the additional features that the A026+ provides. This keeps the A027+ pocket-friendly, while still offering more advanced functions than the entry-level devices.

QK-A034-B Bi-directional WiFi to NMEA 2000 Gateway Multiplexer with NMEA 0183 and SeaTalk input

‘Effortlessly connects the NMEA 0183 sensors to my NMEA 2000 chart plotter and phone’

The QK-A034-B is a sophisticated NMEA 2000 to WiFi and USB multiplexer, with added flexibility for your growing system.

Enjoy a direct WiFi link to your NMEA network data. With the 2-way WiFi connection, you can not only receive, but also send data, including waypoints to your chart plotter and autopilot.

In addition to bi-directional NMEA 2000 to WiFi and USB, the A034-B provides a seamless connection between NMEA 0183 and Raymarine SeaTalk1 input devices.

NMEA 0183 protocol bridge

QK-AS03 NMEA Protocol Bridge

‘Converts NMEA 0183 RS422 signals to RS232 and vice versa’

Early versions of the NMEA 0183 standard specified that listeners and talkers need to be isolated and single-ended. Later versions of the standard retained the opto-isolated listener recommendation, but revised the talker requirement to be differential-ended, as RS422 compliant. As a result, there are some NMEA 0183 instruments with single-ended interfaces and others that use the RS422 interfaces.

The AS03 solves the issue of how to convert the balanced signal output of NMEA 0183 RS422 products to the unbalanced signal required by older NMEA 0183 RS232 instruments and chart plotters, and vice versa.
