Hi Matt,
Never swap Seatalk wires please! That could damage your devices. Only try to swap NMEA + or – wires please!
Can you confirm you have setup the proper band rate on A031 please? Alternatively, you can ring us to discuss more details with your system. Thanks.
Thanks for sharing the information here. I am sure somebody else will find it helpful. Unfortunately, the current configuration tool don’t support MAC now.
Hi, Connect your blue wire to NMEA input – and connect NMEA input+ with the black(which should be GND) of your NASA masthead, then it should work. Keep us updated please.
Do you think you have disabled GPS by accident? Can you provide a screen cut of your configuration tool so I can check it for you? Thanks.
Hi, Thanks for the comments. AAM,ABM,APB HSC,VDR,DSC,DSE will be supported soon.
Thank you for the information.
After checking ICOM 500 manual, I don’t think NMEA3 provides AIS messages. Can you connect NMEA 2( 7and 8) to NMEA in of A034 please. Swap two wires if positive to positive, negative to negative doesn’t work.Thank you for your patience. This will be supported on our next version of our firmware, which we expect to be released in the next couple of months. On the next version, AAM,ABM,APB,HSC,VDR,THS,DSC,DSE will be supported.

Can you check the following points please:
1, Make sure your AIS transponder output AIS messages via RS422 port(some devices need to enable this…)
2, Make sure the baud rate on both devices are the same(you need install the configuration tool to check this). More details about the configuration tool can be found from the manual(chapter 4):
https://www.quark-elec.com/doc/QK-A034_manual.pdf
3, Please make sure your A034 has the latest firmware:
The latest version can be download from: https://www.quark-elec.com/downloads/drivers/
Hope above helps.

I found the problem: the coax. If the green led is continuously lit, it means there is a short in the coax. Hopefully, this will help others.

Thank you James!Hi, the middle LED indicates the AIS status. It flashes when a valid message received. Can you double check your antenna, power and the connections please.
Practical, one antenna with active splitter(like our QK-A015RX) is better if two antenna canot keep at least 5 meters distance.
Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can provide. Thank you for the understanding.
sorry I should also mention here that the latest configuration tool is needed to support this function.
