I’m adding a new GPS antenna to my electronics – an NMEA2000 networked GPS model (Garmin GPS24XD). Will my QK-A028 be able to use this antenna data via the N2K network? I’d like to remove the dedicated GPS antenna that’s currently connected to the A028 and just use the new Garmin antenna for everything (chartplotter, AIS, VHF, etc).
16/11/2022 at 4:05 pm #20217Hi,
The A028’s NMEA 2000 connection does not support bi-directional communication. The A028 can send data to the NMEA 2000 network, but cannot receive data from the other devices on the network.
Hope this helps.
