      Hello,
the A026+ has a built in AIS receiver. Is it also possible to later connect an AIS transponder via NMEA2k and use that AIS data?

        Hi,

AIS Transponders also have AIS receive capability built in so you will likely not need the A026+ when you buy a transponder. If you would like to keep it and use it for other functions, such as multiplexing you can simply remove the VHF antenna to avoid data conflict on the network.

Yes. I will most likely buy an AIS transponder at a later timer and use the A26+ as the multiplexer. In the manual for a26+ I could not find a description how to switch off the internal AIS reciever.

Good to hear that I only have to unplug the antenna.
Thank you very much for the quick response!
