Hi
I am sending DSC/DSE data to my A034 via wifi. Has the translation to NMEA2000 PGN 129808 been implemented yet?
I am using firmware V1.10.211008, but haven’t seen PGN 129808 yet. (the NMEA0183 does get rebroadcast on wifi though)
Thanks
11/01/2022 at 11:01 am #18340Hi,
Our engineering team is working on the implementation of the new features. Hopefully the new firmware supporting the new sentences will be available to download in the following weeks.
Thanks
19/04/2022 at 8:58 am #19031AnonymousI see there has been updated firmware, and an update to the A034 manual saying that PGN129808 has been implemented.
So using the new V1.10.211221 firmware I tried out the conversion from the following DSC/DSE Distress strings:
$CDDSC,12,5120009530,12,10,00,2410617452,0213,,,S,E*65
$CDDSE,1,1,A,5120009530,00,08880619*1BThe NMEA2000 output from the A034 reads as:
2022-04-16-11:24:09.275 4 123 255 129808 : 20 40 0c 0c 35 31 32 30

2022-04-16-11:24:09.275 4 123 255 129808 : 29 30 39 00 00 00 00 00This cannot be parsed by canboat Analyzer, and is rejected by my Garmin chartplotter. One could start with Field #1 and 2: 0x0c 0x0c (ie 12) These do not correspond to allowed values for PGN129808 Field #1,2 : 102-123, 112 (but are the values used by NMEA0183), and the following MMSI is not correct. So the conversion to NMEA2000 appears not to be working.
For comparison here is the result output by an NGW-1 from the same DSC/DSE strings, together with decoding and a few of my annotations:

16/05/2022 at 5:29 pm #19196The latest firmware should have solved this issue now. Thanks for your patience.
