Quark026 TCP etc

Postby Lukerandolph » Sun Sep 10, 2017 7:09 pm

Just bought and installed Quark AIS 026 and having a few issues.

1) I watched Jim Ferguson's set up video, but he was too quick with the detail about setting Navionics (iNavx) TCP info. I can't find the toolbar at the bottom of the Navionics screen to access this option. Where is it?

2) I have 2 iPads, one with built in GPS and one without. The one without only shows my position on iAIS app when I have an independent Bluetooth GPS dongle switched on. Why doesn't the GPS signal come with the WiFi signal from the Quark 026?

3) I can only "see" ships within 1 or so nm's although I know there are more out there in the Channel. Why can't I see more?

Any ideas? Thanks.

I now realise Navionics and iNavX are different apps made by the same people. Only iNavX allows AIS, but sadly seems to be an inferior app for chart/plotting.

Still like to know why iAIS does not accept the GPS output from QK-AS026.
