QK-A026 nmea 0183 raymarine multiplexer

Postby glaloggia » Thu Aug 24, 2017 8:24 am

Hi
I bought your QK-A026 with the idea to connect its nmea0183 input to my Raymarine multiplexer E85001 out. I did it simply connecting +/+ and -/- wires. I expected that a data stream with Nmea sentences should arrive to QK-A026, and then transmitted via wifi or cable to the receiver. Am I wrong with this idea? I am going to check if Nmea data are transmitted by multiplexer, using a led light or something similar. But before than this I had a working RS232 connection from the same out.
Thanks for your attention

A026 nmea0183 input was fixed on 4800 band rate so makes sure your Raymarine multiplexer E85001 are on the same rate. Also you maybe need to swap + and - on the connection. Good luck.

Thank you for you answer. Led lights have been checked, and it works. Do you have any idea on how to control and/or change Raymarine baud rate? Thanks again.
